Easter baskets for kids

Spring offers something for everyone. As the season changes it ushers in that very special day known as Easter. The time is not complete unless every child has his or her own Easter basket. When the child runs to his mom and dad after finding some Easter eggs, some chocolate candy, along with some little gifts then we all know how special the day really is.

Make an Easter basket together with your family

If possible, if your child has a special interest, a small gift to meet that need will offer an even more special basket. In fact, the Easter basket can be constructed along a certain theme or interest. An Easter basket, with a theme, makes it easier to buy specific gifts, create an original basket, and hold all of the items your child loves.

Themed Easter basket

For example, if your child thinks Donald Duck is the best thing on earth you can plan your basket and gifts around the character. You can find inexpensive pencils, stick-on’s, and small toys that will fit inside the basket. You could add a favorite movie or cd that your child has wanted for a long time. Outside you can decorate with pictures of Donald and other characters your child enjoys.

If your child does not really have something of interest then the Easter baskets for kids theme might be centered around a car theme. Your basket could be adorned with numbers, paper NASCAR cars, and other items representing the theme. Inside you can add everything from Hot Wheels to books.

For the older children

You can decorate it with pictures of motion pictures they like, pictures of their favorite actors, maybe a cut out bag of popcorn to give the feel of the theater. Inside you can put a couple of their favorite DVD”s. Movie tickets are also a great gift to add. Instead of putting green grass you might dye some popcorn in the same color to add a little more flavor to the theme of the basket.

Beach theme Easter baskets

For the older children you might consider a beach theme. Easter baskets for kids can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes so the beach theme might really draw out some of your creativity. You will need some waves, maybe a surfboard, a picture of a fish or two. Let your mind wander. Have fun with the project. Inside the basket you can place a swim suit, goggles, and maybe put sand inside instead of green grass.

Let your mind wander. Easter can be as much fun for you as it is for your child – if you let your creativity flow.
